Dear folks,
In this short addendum, some further hints are given, and one error
is corrected.
 
First, I noted in my article that it would be difficult to instruct
the Lynx portations to store the .lynxrc and the bookmark files in a
reasonable directory. Franz Kager, one of our most talented students
here in Linz, pointed me to a solution: Set the environment variable
home to a path where the program should store the files.
 
Second, my assertion that Windows 95 is not able to use the original
lynx names .lynxrc and lynx_bookmarks.html is not true, of course:
Windows 95 is able to use these names without difficulty.
 
Finally, let me point out that, if you want to use the portations
with a Braille or speech device, you should start the program at any
rate with the parameter -show_cursor, so, for example, enter
 
lynx -show_cursor
 
This will cause Lynx to track the hardware cursor along the links
which are highlighted when the up or down arrow keys are pressed.
